This work is built from pieces of the place I call home. A reminder that safety, for many of us, is something we have to construct by hand. Each fragment carries the quiet relief of belonging. Of finally feeling at ease in your own space. In your own body.
For queer people, creating a home is more than building a shelter. It's building a world where we can exist without fear. It's the act of turning survival into sanctuary.
Home at Last is both gratitude and acknowledgment. Gratitude for the rare gift of safety. Acknowledgment that not everyone in our community has that privilege.

Esta obra está construida con piezas del lugar que llamo hogar. Un recordatorio de que la seguridad, para muchos de nosotros, es algo que tenemos que construir a mano. Cada fragmento lleva el alivio silencioso de pertenecer. De finalmente sentirse a gusto en tu propio espacio. En tu propio cuerpo.
Para las personas queer, crear un hogar es más que construir un refugio. Es construir un mundo donde podamos existir sin miedo. Es el acto de convertir la supervivencia en santuario.
Hogar al Fin es tanto gratitud como reconocimiento. Gratitud por el regalo raro de la seguridad. Reconocimiento de que no todos en nuestra comunidad tienen ese privilegio.
